A federal agency needed to upskill a large workforce following a strategic CIO directive while addressing different levels of AI experience. Learning Tree created a customized curriculum by combining two existing courses covering generative AI, machine learning, and prompt engineering.
The first day focused on nontechnical roles, while the second addressed technical employees using Python. Virtual delivery and prepaid vouchers supported scalable, cost-efficient access across six directorates. More than 1,100 employees gained confidence using tools such as ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot. Participants also strengthened prompt engineering and AI-powered reporting skills.
Follow-up sessions were planned for nontechnical roles to continue learning and support. The engagement demonstrates how customized content, flexible delivery, and role-aware instruction can help a federal workforce build practical AI capability at scale.
